Subseries: Nuclear and High Energy Physics Published November 2007; ISBN 978-0-7354-0456-4 One Volume, Print; 116 pages; 6 3/8 X 9 1/4 inches; Hardcover; $69.00 Readership: These proceedings will be of interest to those involved in experimental collaborations on double beta decay, experimental collaborations on neutrino mass determinations, and theoretical particle and nuclear physics groups. All papers have been peer-reviewed. The determination of the properties of the neutrino is one of the most pursued goals of physics. The relevance of the neutrino mass problem, for fields so closely related as astro-particle physics, elementary particle physics, cosmology and nuclear structure physics, becomes evident after the discovery of the neutrino oscillations. The series of MEDEX Conferences, which started ten years ago, is devoted to the update of the experimental and theoretical information related to the nuclear double beta decay, which is the process that may, if observed, be the tool to answer the fundamental questions related to the neutrino mass scale. MEDEX is established as a unique forum for theoreticians and experimentalists which are active in the field. The major experimental collaborations have reported regularly at MEDEX since the first meeting 1997. Related AIP Titles: |
