AIP Conference Proceedings 802

Conference Location and Date: Debrecen, Hungary, 20-25 June 2005

Subseries: Nuclear and High Energy Physics

Published December 2005; ISBN 0-7354-0291-4 One Volume, Print; 354 pages; 6 3/8 X 9 1/4 inches; Hardcover; $144.00

Readership: Researchers in experimental and theoretical nuclear physics, graduate and postgraduate students of nuclear and particle physics, and astrophysicists

The main topics of this symposium included the physics of weakly-bound neutron-rich nuclei, giant resonances, cluster structures, high-spin states, nuclear matter, and fundamental interactions, as well as new experimental techniques. These are mostly accessible for investigation as radioactive nuclear beams which enter into reactions. Recent activities of the large nuclear laboratories, GSI, GANIL, RIKEN and NSCL, are also covered. The recently published Long-Range Plan of the European nuclear physics community was also discussed and the article is included in this volume.
